Q: What is the difference and priority between One-time Mowing and Scheduled Mowing？
There are three ways to start mowing:
- In the app, click Mow Now.
- On the mower, press MOW and then OK to start mowing.
- The mower starts automatically according to the mowing schedule.
The first two are called One-time Mowing, and the last one is dubbed Scheduled Mowing.
When you start a One-time Mowing task, the mower will work until 100% progress is reached.
When you set up a schedule, the mower will only work during the scheduled hours. When it reaches 100% progress, the mower will start again from scratch if the "mowing cycle" switch is on.
If you have a schedule, and then you start a One-time Mowing task, the mower will ignore the schedule and mow the entire lawn until 100% progress is reached.
Q: Can I place a garage/shelter for Navimow-i?
Yes. It’s recommended to purchase our official Navimow-i garage to acquire shelter and extra protection for Navimow-i robotic lawnmower.
If you prefer DIY or third party garage/shelter, please ensure the material is metal-free to avoid GNSS signal interference. Plastic is preferred when building the DIY garage/shelter.
Q: What kind of boundary types can I create for the Navimow-i?
Currently, you can set 2 kinds of boundaries for the mower, which are standard mode and ride-on mode. When creating the map, you can choose one of them as the type of the boundary.
The Standard Boundary is the default option. This type of boundary allows the mower to stay within the defined boundary while mowing. The VisionFence is used to detect grass and non-grass objects, helping the mower to navigate without bumping into obstacles.
If the edges of your lawn are on a relatively flat area, you can choose the Ride-on Boundary to let the mower mow right up to places where grass meets non-grass areas. This way, the mower will straddle the boundary when working to make precise cuts near the edges.
NOTE:1. Ensure the gap between grass and non-grass areas is less than 1 cm.
2. Keep barriers or objects at least 20 cm away from the Ride-on Boundary.
Q: What is the minimum height and width requirements for the mower to cross through a passage, the fences or small gates?
The height should not be less than 40cm; the width should not be less than 100cm.

I was willing to pay more so I didn't have to put wires in the ground to guide a robomower. This one does pretty well. The fact that it can drive itself back to the charger and start itself back up again and continue when fully charged is also great! If you are setting up boundaries where the grass is near a curb, be aware that the accuracy of the GPS sensing is +/– a foot or so. If you try to make things too precise, it will frequently roll into the street. Better to set the boundary a little further into the lawn area and handle edge areas on curbs with the manual controls on a smartphone. But despite these hiccups, totally worth it for me.
Great fit for my 3,000 sq ft back yard (which I overestimated at 4,000 sq ft). The Segway Navimow i105 cuts more than half the yard on the initial charge, then automatically returns to the charging station, and completes the yard mowing after recharging. Total elapsed time is less than 3 hours, and the yard is manicured. On each subsequent scheduled day, the cutting direction is cycled between four settings: lengthwise, diagonal, opposite diagonal, and opposite lengthwise. Grass cutting is better than I could do, especially with the directional changes and my low hanging trees! I still manual mow my smaller front yard and trim the perimeter of the back yard, but my lawn mowing chores are reduced by more than one half! Great way to stay put in retirement and reduce yard work.
I searched around for a few weeks to see what would be the best fit for my back yard. I have thick St Augustine grass here in Texas and didn't really see anyone mention it in their reviews, so I took a leap of faith. Best. Decision, Ever! It has saved me many hours and lots of sweat not being in the hot Texas sun and my lawn looks almost like a golf course.I had to initially cut my grass as low as I could (3 setting on my mower) and bag the clippings to give it a fresh start. That was a month ago or more and it cuts three times a week. I have only had two incidents where it was stuck, and I quickly resolved them. The only thing I would have done different is ordered the 1/4 acre unit as mine takes about 5 hours of charging and cutting to do my entire yard. It has been a game changer for me and I highly recommend it.
I LOVE THIS MOWER! It does the bulk of the heavy lifting by mowing the larger areas of my lawn. I understood it was not the magic bullet, that I would have to line trim and do what it could not do...BUT....set up was breeze, the software was intuitive and the mower right to work very quickly with great results...my time in the heat is reduced from 90 minutes to 15 minutes....whats not to like?! Thankyou Segway!!!
i would like it to mow closer to boundary. I found it a little difficult to map outline but am going to do it again with more precision.
